The hour-long documentary shared on social media offers many suggestions on the pandemic, global current affairs, and the potential of the new world order. This article discusses some major topics. Others are not within the scope of this inspection.
The video was created by happen.network (twitter.com/happen_network), which describes itself as a “forward-looking digital media and social platform.” A post containing the video has been shared more than 3,500 times (here ). Known as the new normal, it compiles footage from news footage, amateur footage, news websites, and graphics, all of which are connected with voice-over narratives. Then the possibility of the COVID-19 pandemic was raised, that is, the COVID-19 pandemic was “planned by a group of technical elites who gave orders to global governments”, and life after COVID-19 might see a “centralized country Ruling a world of harsh and tyrannical rules”.
This video brings attention to Event 201, a pandemic simulation held in October 2019 (a few months before the COVID-19 outbreak). This is a tabletop event co-organized by the Johns Hopkins University Health and Safety Center, the World Economic Forum, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The documentary suggests that Gates and others have prior knowledge of the COVID-19 pandemic due to its similarity to Event 201, which simulates the outbreak of the new zoonotic coronavirus.
Johns Hopkins University has since emphasized that the organization of Event 201 was due to the “increasing number of epidemic events” (here). It is based on the “fictional coronavirus pandemic” and aims to simulate preparation and response (here).
A long video clip debunked earlier shows that doctors recommend skipping animal testing (here) before making the vaccine. This is not true.
In September 2020, Pfizer and BioNTech released information on the effects of their mRNA vaccines on mice and non-human primates (here). Moderna also released similar information (here, here).
The University of Oxford has confirmed that its vaccine has been tested on animals in the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia (here).
Based on the previously debunked statement that the pandemic is a pre-planned statement, the documentary continues to suggest that a blockade may have been implemented to ensure the smooth launch of 5G networks.
COVID-19 and 5G have nothing to do with each other, and Reuters has conducted a fact-check on similar statements made earlier (here, here, here).
After Chinese authorities reported cases of unexplained pneumonia to the World Health Organization (WHO) on December 31, 2019 (here), the first known COVID-19 outbreak can be traced back to Wuhan, China. On January 7, 2020, Chinese authorities identified SARS-CoV-2 as the virus that causes COVID-19 (here). It is a virus that spreads from person to person through respiratory droplets (here).
On the other hand, 5G is a mobile phone technology that uses radio waves—the lowest-energy form of radiation on the electromagnetic spectrum. It has nothing to do with COVID-19. The WHO stated that there is no research linking exposure to wireless technology with negative health effects (here).
Reuters had previously refuted a post claiming that Leicester’s local blockade was related to 5G deployment. The blockade was implemented in July 2020, and Leicester City has had 5G since November 2019 (here). In addition, there are many places affected by COVID-19 without 5G (here).
The theme that connects many of the early themes in the documentary is that world leaders and social elites are working together to create a world of “rule and tyrannical rules governed by a totalitarian state.”
It shows that this will be achieved by The Great Reset, a sustainable development plan proposed by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The documentary then quoted a social media clip from the World Economic Forum that made eight predictions for the world in 2030. The clip specifically emphasized three points: People will no longer own anything; everything will be rented and delivered through drones, and Western values will be pushed to a critical point.
However, this is not the proposal of The Great Reset and has nothing to do with social media editing.
After noticing that the pandemic has increased inequality, the World Economic Forum proposed the idea of a “big reset” of capitalism in June 2020 (here). It encourages three components, including requiring the government to improve fiscal policy, implement late reforms (such as wealth tax), and promote the promotion of the health sector’s efforts in 2020 to replicate in other sectors and bring about the industrial revolution.
At the same time, the social media clip is from 2016 (here) and has nothing to do with The Great Reset. This is a video made after the members of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Committee made various predictions about the world in 2030-for better or for worse (here). The Danish politician Ida Auken wrote the prediction that people will no longer own anything (here) and added the author’s note to her article to emphasize that this is not her view of utopia.
“Some people see this blog as my utopia or dream of the future,” she wrote. “It’s not. It’s a scenario that shows where we might be heading — good or bad. I wrote this article to start discussing some of the pros and cons of current technological developments. When we deal with the future, it is not enough to deal with reports. We The discussion should start in many new ways. This is the intention of this work.”
Misleading. The video contains a variety of references that show that the COVID-19 pandemic is designed to advance the new world order envisioned by the social elite. There is no evidence that this is true.
